'Daily Bread'

Daily bread is an autobiographical work presenting entries from the illustrated food diary which was important to my recovery form anxiety and anorexia. Blank pages constituted canvases onto which diary content was projected flowing between images/text in continuous loops representing spiralling thought patterns of the sort I experienced at the time recorded.
The piece developed from exploration into contemporary understanding of illness and ‘wellness’. Do authority figures have a moral obligation to eat healthily? Do we all? To what extent are diet and exercise responsible for our mental health? To what extent are we therefore responsible for our mental health?
